If there are two unknown bodies, neither the attracted nor the attracting body impresses a whole force, and generates a whole velocity proportional to the time given the time.

The forces of which bodies, in spaces void of resistance, are firmly forward.

When the action is over the bodies recede from the axis of motion and may orbit or dissipate.
